How we work

Editorial Policy

The standards behind our software coverage, review process, disclosures and corrections.

Clear context

A hands-on review must identify the tested product version, test date, relevant platforms, methods and limitations. It must link to original supporting evidence. Product summaries and announcements must not be described as hands-on testing.

Transparent collaborations

Disclose sponsored coverage, developer-supplied access and affiliate relationships clearly alongside the relevant content. Commercial support must not guarantee a favourable verdict or conceal limitations. Affiliate promotion links are identified for search engines as sponsored.

Useful assessments

Explain who a product suits, the practical strengths and limitations, and the basis for the assessment. A rating must be supported by the review’s findings. Clearly separate vendor claims, our observations and matters that have not been verified.

Corrections

Report a factual error through our Contact page, including the page URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence. Substantive changes should include a dated public correction or update note. Updating a page is not a reason to conceal an earlier material error.

Review and publication

Authors prepare private proposals. A reviewer examines the revision and records an approval or requests changes. A publisher releases the approved revision. Further edits invalidate approval, and changes to the underlying record require a fresh review. Administrator recovery access is separate from the managed editorial workflow.

Giveaways and offers

Promotion listings distinguish currently available, upcoming and ended campaigns. An active listing requires a published, non-demo campaign with a checked source and a valid availability window, or an explicit evergreen designation. Always read the linked eligibility rules and terms; availability and vendor pricing can change.

Pricing context

Where a price is quoted, state the plan, billing period, applicable region, tax or renewal qualifications and when the source was checked. A sample price on a demonstration record is not a commercial offer.

Demonstration content

Records labelled Demo are fictional examples used to develop the website. They are not real product endorsements, testing results, giveaways or discounts. Demonstration campaigns are excluded from the live promotion directories.
